Purpose 2: Communicating with us
Users often contact us and ask for a meeting or demo of our software. As part of this process and to communicate with potential users, data concerning the User is collected to allow the Owner to provide its Services.
Data categories: Name, Organization, email, contact information, and any relevant organizational information that supports a potential contract.
Legal Basis: Communicating about a contract in the EU legal basis is Article (6)(1)(f) GDPR
Purpose: Technical software fixes
Users with an ImpactMapper contract, allow the ImpactMapper team to access their accounts for technical issues that arise to address them.

Legal Basis: Legitimate interest to keep service running, EU legal basis is Article (6)(1)(f) GDPR
Purpose: Automation of software
We are using LLM models to improve our tools and services.
Data Categories: Name, organization, account data. Third party data recipient AWS in Germany or US. No data is shared outside our AWS servers for user privacy and security. Users can opt-out of this tool.
Legal Basis: Legitimate interest to improve the performance of services and get more insights from AI tools. The EU legal basis is Article (6)(1)(f) GDPR
3.2 Legal basis of processing
The Owner may process Personal Data relating to Users if one of the following applies:
- Users have given their consent for one or more specific purposes. Note: Under some legislations the Owner may be allowed to process Personal Data until the User objects to such processing ("opt-out"), without having to rely on consent or any other of the following legal bases. This type of service allows impactmapper.com to monitor the use and behavior of its components so its performance, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting can be improved.

This type of service allows the Owner to build user profiles by starting from an email address, a personal name, or other information that the User provides to impactmapper.com, as well as to track User activities through analytics features. This Personal Data may also be matched with publicly available information about the User (such as social networks' profiles) and used to build private profiles that the Owner can display and use for improving impactmapper.com.
