This online training series is a crash course on storytelling skills development with your social and environmental impact data. You will bring your data to the sessions and learn various techniques to improve the analysis and communication of your philanthropic work.
This is a practice based course. You should come with data you want to analyze for a pilot project identified that you would like to work on through the six sessions, such as a board report, impact brief, or case study. This program is designed to get you skilled up and to start work on the pilot project, but finalization will likely take longer than the program duration depending on what you select. If you do not have your own data or case, we can provide you with sample data to learn all of the skills and then you can apply these skills to your work later on.
There will be short theory and tip-based sessions that open every session, group work to hone and practice the theories and skills shared, and peer to peer learning, knowledge exchange and feedback. For many sessions, we will also use real case studies of data from people enrolled in the course to collectively learn from and give feedback on. At the end of the session, you will have homework.
Facilitated live by our founder and CEO Alexandra Pittman, PhD, the program ideal for staff at any grantmaking organization or consultants that support grantees involved in impact measurement, research, learning, and evaluation.
In the new training series, you will:
