Upskill Your Impact Storytelling Skills for Grantmaking

July 30, 2025

We know this is a very demanding time of the year for data collection and analysis of grantmaking programs but, what if you or your staff had tailored support to ease the load in the upcoming months?

Crafting impact reports, learning briefs, case studies or board reports don’t have to be a daunting task. On the contrary, throughout the past 10 years of innovating with software, consulting and training in the impact sector, our team has come to find that too often donors are sitting on significant amounts of grantee data, but do not know how to efficiently analyze and package it to effectively tell their impact story.

After receiving multiple requests from funders, philanthropic and donor organizations interested in our storytelling for impact training, our Founder and CEO, Alexandra Pittman, PhD has crafted a first-of-its-kind 3-month immersive experience on Storytelling for Your Grantmaking Data.

Starting on September 17th, the live, practice-based course aims to help monitoring, evaluation, and learning professionals working in donor organizations develop storytelling skills to better analyze and improve the communication of their social and environmental impact data.

This program is designed to get you skilled up and to start working on a pilot project of your choice. Finalization of the project may take longer than the program duration depending on what you select. If you do not have your own data or case, we can provide you with sample data to learn all of the skills and then you can apply these skills to your work later on.

Can you see yourself receiving extra support in an intimate, expert-led and peer-to-peer collaborative feedback learning series?

A pioneer in the industry with more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Pittman has created and will facilitate live sessions to a limited group of participants to foster knowledge sharing and integration of data analysis and storytelling skills.

Is it an immersive experience for you? By joining the program today, here is what you can expect to learn by the end of this training series:

  1. Transform raw philanthropic data into compelling narratives and products that effectively communicate social and environmental impact.
  2. Apply appropriate analytical techniques for financial and grantmaking datasets.
  3. Extract meaningful insights from qualitative text data and stories of change.
  4. Develop structured case studies that showcase program outcomes and learnings.
  5. Integrate quantitative and qualitative data analysis to create more robust impact stories.
  6. Provide constructive feedback on peers' data storytelling approaches.

All sessions will be recorded and materials will be sent to participants in case you are not able to make a session.
