Power Up Your Impact Analysis: The Newest ImpactMapper Features Now Available

September 1, 2025

ImpactMapper continuously improves our software to respond to users’ evolving needs. This ensures that research, evaluations, surveys, impact analysis, and portfolio mapping conducted in the ImpactMapper software tool are always efficient and effective. ImpactMapper is excited to announce the rollout of new features designed to empower users to gain deeper insights and share impact more meaningfully.

  • Two new APIs, Airtable and Submittable Integration - Easily transfer your data from Airtable or Submittable to ImpactMapper. Leverage the power of ImpactMapper’s surveys and impact analysis to draw meaningful and richer insights from your portfolio data or grants applications. The Airtable integration was kindly made possible and supported by UMI Fund and the Submittable integration was made possible by the 1803 Fund.
  • Survey QR Code - Easily distribute surveys to your participants by sharing with them a QR code to access your survey.
  • Assigning tags to survey questions - This new feature requested by a foundation  allows you to assign pre-defined tags (categories) to your survey questions. This allows automatic categorization and frequency analysis as responses come in, eliminating the need to manually categorize and chart responses. This feature is especially useful when analyzing open-ended questions.
  • Survey participant tagging - This enables survey respondents to tag or categorize their own answers according to your custom outcomes or any taxonomy. This is most relevant if survey participants are answering open-ended questions, saving significant time in analyzing survey responses.
  • Enhanced survey tagging options - Have more flexibility in analyzing survey responses by tagging open ended text responses by location, currency, and quantity. This allows you to track patterns, for example, on the locations most affected by the intervention, or how much capital was disbursed to different stakeholders or how many people have been impacted by your program.
  • Better Viewing and Analysis of PDF reports - Now the original content and design of pdf reports (images, tables, and graphics) are preserved, making tagging and analysis of your pdfs reports easier and more beautiful.
  • Scatter Chart - We have a new chart in ImpactMapper, a Scatter plot, offering more diverse options for data visualization.
  • Survey weights - Assign numerical values to survey responses that are automatically summed or averaged. This is useful if you're running surveys that intend to measure opinions and attitudes, identify emerging behaviors, track changes, compare variables, and other similar initiatives. Think needs or capacity assessments, ranking applications, organizational feedback, etc. - and this feature will be most useful for you. This feature was kindly supported by the 1803 Fund and is available to all users.
  • AI Tools - ImpactMapper surveys are now AI-powered. Easily interpret survey charts using AI Insights and instantly translate your multi-lingual surveys with Auto-Translate. See more here.
